Cycle Warriors is a motorcycle combat game released in 1991 for arcades. Although it’s similar to Road Rash, it actually came out first. Four bounty hunters mount their powerful motorcycles to take on a criminal organization across various stages filled with ground and aerial enemies.
Ghost Rider is an action-platformer game released in 2007 for the Game Boy Advance. Even at the end of the console’s lifespan, this title showcased the full power of the handheld, including motorcycle stages in pseudo-3D. Johnny Blaze was cursed and transforms into the Spirit of Vengeance when he is summoned to Hell to save his girlfriend and stop a threat that could destroy Earth.
Prop Cycle is a flight simulation game released for arcades in 1996. The original arcade cabinet featured a physical bicycle with handlebars and pedals, including a fan to simulate wind. Set 200 years after the planet’s devastation, one of the few survivors must pilot their flying bicycle to disable the power that has lifted the remaining villages off the ground.
Mad Motor is a wheel-based beat ’em up developed for arcades in 1989. Imagine mixing Road Rash with side-scrolling action, a post-apocalyptic world, werewolves, and punk aesthetics – that’s Mad Motor! Gangs have overrun the streets, and your only goal is to survive by brawling your way through the chaos.
Racing Hero is a motorcycle racing game where you compete against opponents while dodging chaotic traffic on tracks set in various countries around the world. It features multiple different endings, beautiful scenery, frantic gameplay, and an exhilarating sense of speed.
