Shadow Blasters is a 2D platformer released in 1990 for the Sega Genesis. What sets it apart is the ability to switch between four heroes at any time, as each one has their own unique abilities. After Earth falls under the control of an evil force, the gods gather to choose the four greatest humans, who are tasked with bringing peace back to the planet.
