Airwolf is a horizontal scrolling shoot ‘em up game released in 1988 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The villain Pig Bad has kidnapped the brother of experienced pilot S. Hawk and is now blackmailing the military with the threat of detonating nuclear missiles. Your mission is to board the supersonic helicopter to prevent the catastrophe and rescue the hostage.

Spriggan Powered (Super Nintendo)

Spriggan Powered is a 2D side-scrolling shoot ‘em up game released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo. What sets it apart is its use of pre-rendered graphics, similar to those used in Donkey Kong Country. Because it was released late in the console’s lifecycle, it was able to take full advantage of the Super Nintendo’s technical capabilities. It was the third game in the Spriggan franchise trilogy, though it has no connection to the previous titles.
