Heated Barrel is a side-scrolling shooter game released in 1992 for arcades. This was TAD Corporation’s final game before the company went bankrupt. Choose your favorite gunslinger and shoot everything that moves, facing off against outlaws, wild animals, and even supernatural beings.
Zero Team is a beat ‘em up arcade game released in 1993. The story follows the classic “save the kidnapped woman” trope. You choose a member of an elite military unit (which looks more like a biker gang) to face off against dangerous ninjas, bring peace to the city, and rescue the hostage.
Spriggan Powered is a 2D side-scrolling shoot ‘em up game released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo. What sets it apart is its use of pre-rendered graphics, similar to those used in Donkey Kong Country. Because it was released late in the console’s lifecycle, it was able to take full advantage of the Super Nintendo’s technical capabilities. It was the third game in the Spriggan franchise trilogy, though it has no connection to the previous titles.
