Zero Team (Arcade)


Zero Team is a beat ‘em up arcade game released in 1993. The story follows the classic “save the kidnapped woman” trope. You choose a member of an elite military unit (which looks more like a biker gang) to face off against dangerous ninjas, bring peace to the city, and rescue the hostage.

Spriggan Powered (Super Nintendo)


Spriggan Powered is a 2D side-scrolling shoot ‘em up game released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo. What sets it apart is its use of pre-rendered graphics, similar to those used in Donkey Kong Country. Because it was released late in the console’s lifecycle, it was able to take full advantage of the Super Nintendo’s technical capabilities. It was the third game in the Spriggan franchise trilogy, though it has no connection to the previous titles.

Road Rash (3DO)


Road Rash is a motorcycle racing and combat game released in 1994 for the 3DO. This game raised the bar for its time, delivering a complete multimedia experience. Cinematic presentations, a licensed soundtrack, improved graphics, and an intense sense of speed showcased the true power of the 32-bit generation.

Road Runner (Arcade)


Road Runner is a side-scrolling chase game released for arcades in 1985. Run as fast as you can from the clutches of the bumbling Wile E. Coyote! He’ll use his entire arsenal of gadgets and traps to try to catch you. The arcade cabinet featured a fully analog joystick that allowed for precise character control, unlike the typical 8-way directional controls of that era.
